Optimizing Mitochondrial Function in Autism
Mitochondrial dysfunction is a common co-occurring medical condition in individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This CME session will review fundamental principles of mitochondrial biology and evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of mitochondrial dysfunction. You will gain knowledge in how to identify clinical features of mitochondrial dysfunction, how to approach laboratory testing for mitochondrial dysfunction, and how to utilize nutritional supplements to enhance mitochondrial function.
