Father, Caregiver, Health Freedom and Disability Rights Advocate
Patrick is a retired credit union executive, who retired as CEO of Ocean Air Federal Credit Union in Oxnard, CA, after a sudden heart attack and traumatic brain injury in September 2019. He was a seven-year board member and Chairman for the Ventura County Medical Resources Foundation. In addition, he was appointed by California Governor Edmund G. Brown to the State of California Council on Developmental Disabilities, Area Board 9, where he served for five years, including four years as Chairman.
Today he is a full-time caregiver for his 22-year-old non-verbal autistic son. Following his heart attack and brain injuries, he went through an amazing journey searching for answers, truth, and healing. That quest was not merely for his son Andrew to recover from leaky gut syndrome, chronic encephalopathy, and other inflammatory issues that were causing an extraordinary amount of self-injurious behaviors – but also to help his own recovery.
